Carl Hansen and Son has divulged the BM0488S Table Bench – a more limited form of Børge Mogensen’s well known seat with the trademark woven seat, downplayed subtleties and exact craftsmanship.
Børge Mogensen made the table seat in 1958 as a component of his ‘building furniture idea.’ Mogensen’s way of thinking was to plan practical and sturdy furniture that can be adjusted to changing requirements of different areas.
The table seat is made of strong oak and twofold woven canework, which loans the piece a strong however rich articulation. The adjusted edges and lovely mortise joints vouch for the intricate craftsmanship that portrays Børge Mogensen’s style
